10 Months

10 months turning 16! All the sudden you are big....and not size big (because that you are too) but you are all the sudden a tot! You are doing so many big boy things now; crawling, climbing on everyone and everything, pulling to stand, pushing your walker...you soooo badly want to walk.  Soon baby, soon.

Not sure on measurements, guessing around 24 lbs. You're wearing 18mo clothes, size 4 diaper.  You now have 2 bottom teeth and tops are on their way.  You've been an awesome teether!

You have FINALLY started eating solids foods and doing very well.  Still not a big eater, but you are trying many more foods.  You love meat, especially sausage and hamburger.  You are also a big carb lover; pasta, crackers, and pirates bootie (your ultimate fav).  You are doing great holding your own bottle, but will only do it with your water.  When it's time for milk, you still want to relax and have mom hold your bottle.  I'm soaking that up....it won't be for much longer, sniff :(

You are taking 4 bottles a day 7, 10, 1, 7 and eating 3 meals.  You go to bed around 7:30 and wake up a 6:30.  Taking 2 naps, 10 and 2, for about 2 hours each.

You're such a happy kid...and cute too (oh, that HAIR!)  You'll definitely be the class clown with a tons of friends. You're social, sweet and very compassionate.  You hate to see your friends and brother upset.  I'm so proud of you. You bring so much joy to our little family and that joy grows with every month.

Love, Mom

Happy Thanksgiving

This year, to celebrate Pete's Grandfathers 90th birthday, the family decided to make the snowy trek to Buffalo, NY to celebrate Grandfather as well as Thanksgiving.  I was a nervous wreak about the 5 hour/not direct flight and staying in Pete's grandparents home....but once again it was abundantly clear that I get myself worked up for no reason because the boys did great.  Traveling champs!  We had a great time celebrating in Buffalo during one of Buffalo's record snow falls.  James, of course, hadn't see anything like it! That little Texan loved playing in the snow and we all had a great time spending time with family.
Getting ready to go-Buffalo Bound!

First snow ball fight!

Such a blessed 2014!

9 Months

9 months with both boys, has felt like a big milestone; as many months in...as out :) I have known you for 18 months now. WOW.  From the moment you were conceived I knew you (well okay, at first I was sure you were a girl) but soon after we found out BOY, the image of you became so tangible and I felt very connected to you.  You solidified my title of "Mom of Boys" and I was in love!

...and speaking of BOY, you are all that and more.  Rough and tumble, lover of balls, dogs, wheels and dirt.  You have an arm like a left fielder and can tackle like a linebacker (do line backers tackle??? I don't even know- this mom of boys has a lot to learn ;).  You are certainly on the move and ready to take on the world.  You're a crawling machine and pulling up and cruising all the furniture.  You are getting the hang of your push walker and prefer our help to walk vs. crawl.

You are a Momma's boy! I can't be in the room and not have you in my arms.  Deep down...I kind of love it, because I remember how fleeting this is.  Soon you'll turn into a toddler and it will be all about Daddy and doing "dude stuff". Right now though, you prefer me and every few minutes after playing or exploring, you'll come find me for a little momma refuel :) My arms are tired but my heart is full.

and oh...that hair ;)

You are FINALLY eating food! You started in your new class at school and have decided that if your friends are going to eat, so will you.  You are now having 3 meals a day and enjoying a mixture of purees and finger foods.  You are slow to warm up to new tastes and texture and appear to be quite picky.  Your favorites are cheerios, crackers, pasta, ham, hotdogs and applesauce.  You'll  eat pretty much whatever puree I give you.

You are still taking 5 bottles (6 oz each) every 3 hours.  We are trying to move to 4 now that you're eating better during the day.

Schedule: Wake at 6:00, naps at 9:30 & 2:30, bedtime at 7:30.

Stats:
Weight= 23.5lbs
Height=29.5 inches

You got your eat tubes earlier in month and have had very little sickness since;  just a few colds and pink eye.  Thanking God daily for good health.

Happy 9 month my little big man :)

xoxo
